Security Personnel Remain Crucial in Schools

We recently shared an article about the importance of security in schools, especially in today's tumultuous world. Many schools began questioning the need for SROs (School Resources Officers) as law enforcement programs around the nation were under scrutiny. KTTC partnered with the Rochester Police Department to provide an update.  The consensus was clear; the added level of security plays a crucial roll in de-escalating issues and reducing the need for law enforcement engagement.

“It’s a relationship built on trust and engaging the youth...We really believe that having a trusted police officer, someone that kids know, not just whoever gets the next call, de-escalates a whole lot of situations that never result in a police call, never result in a police report.”
Captain Jeff Stilwell — Rochester Police Department

Captain Stilwell's words mirror the message we’re continually sharing here at Twin City Security - there’s real value in personal security services.  It’s great to see a positive report shared with the local community. Take a listen for a reminder of the importance of security in schools and beyond.  After watching the video, visit our recent blog if you missed it: Back to School with a Focus on Safety.
